SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

Sustainability

As part of its continuing education program, FARO is committed to maintaining its skills and the quality of its products and services
to the maximum.

In 2019, we believe that this also means greater social and environmental involvement.

That's why we decided to engage and collaborate with the company ADDERE in order to evaluate our ways of improvement in terms of environmental impact.

HERE ARE OUR TARGETS:

100% Compostable cup

By March 2019, all our cups will be 1000% compostable, eliminating the landfill of more than 1.5 million cup per year.

Reduction of 80% of waste

By 2020, FARO is committed to reducing waste at its production center by at least 80%.

Limit imports of coffee from Africa and Oceania to less than 20%

The objective is to reduce imports from these regions by 2022.

40% reduction in fuel consumption

A renewal of the FARO car fleet will be completed by 2023.

FARO is also involved in the community since its creation in 1982.
Here are some examples of our social involvement

Centre Philou

Since 2016, FARO and Centre Philou have partnered with Radio-Canada to raise funds for the Centre. Its mission is to support families living with a multi-handicapped child by offering them specialized services.

CHUS Foundation

FARO has been closely associated with the CHUS Foundation for many years. Recently, two directors sit on the Foundation's Succession Committee. Maxime Fabi, Managing Director at FARO, is also the president of this Committee.

Crowdfunding with Beancommunity

Bean is a sharing community that helps you raise money for your fundraising initiatives by selling coffee online. The website was created in 2016 by David and Maxime Fabi.

FairTrade involvement

FARO has been certified Fair Trade since, making it a pioneer in Quebec and Canada. A prize was awarded in 2016 on this subject.
