PROFILE
In January 2025, during our origin trip to Nicaragua, we met several producers, built meaningful relationships, and most importantly, took the time to understand their reality. We immediately connected with Manfred Günkel, General Manager of Sajonia Estate, a mill that brings together several farms located in the highlands of Matagalpa.
Today, that relationship is bearing fruit (literally). We’re proud to introduce Nicaragua San Antonio, sourced from Finca San Antonio, one of the farms within Sajonia Estate.
We developed this coffee with a medium roast, revealing a beautifully balanced profile with inviting notes of toasted nuts and brown sugar. We loved it so much that it earned a spot in some of our flagship blends, including Giorno Dolce and Alta Forte.
Our origin trips are part of our DNA. They allow us to see coffee differently—beyond the bean, beyond the cup. Understanding the work, challenges, and passion behind each harvest helps us make better decisions here, roast with greater precision… and tell the full story of what you’re drinking.
